But Mary and Joseph, who had traveled far
Had to sleep inside a cattle stall
Now Mary was a virgin, you see,
She gave birth to a King of Kings.
No silver spoon was in this child’s hand,
A humble beginning for the Son of Man.
Yes the clouds opened up and the angles sang
Those ol’ shepherds will never be the same
Cause on that night they witnessed the birth
Of the babe who would save the earth!
